Siluro 2. Check Your Cables!
The SLC with incomplete consoles superstructure manned by two Zygotes in plain dress and without masks or oxygen. (Some things will have to change.)
My Magrathea3D colleague Denniz referred me to another excellent tutorial by 3DKiwi which did in fact solve my Siluro cables problem. These cables would become detached the moment the rotation and position of the attachment-points changed (as when the aileron would pitch). Essentially this meant fixing the points of the spline (the cable is a sweep nurbs) to the attachment parts of the model using XPresso. I can't say it was easy, but then again, nothing in the 3D world ever is .. :-) I have rendered a first animation (Sketch and Toon) to test the results. You'll find this here (1.1 MB).
